I’ve had my canary for two weeks now and I’m just amazed at how fun he is. How personable. How he seems to really enjoy my company and especially when I baby-talk to him. And I LOVE to hear him sing.
I just checked in on my house from work, via my Nest camera, and all was calm and quiet… even “Birdy” was quiet. No peeps. I could hear him bouncing around in his cage, pecking at stuff, but all was still, for the most part.
I realized I had forgotten to cue the classical music before I left for work this morning, so I told “Alexa” (my Amazon Echo”) to play soft classical music (I did this via my camera!!).
Oh how I love technology. I can see my peaceful home, my napping dogs, and make sure everything looks good… and I can even play music for them on command. Of course, I giggle when I see my confused dogs looking around trying to find out where the voices are coming from. *snort* 😛 Eh… no worries. They didn’t search or wonder for too long, ’cause as soon as the music started, they just snuggled back into their blankies.
But I digress… all that to say, within a minute into the first gentle song, Birdy started singing. At the top of his lungs. All his pretty sounds and chirps and warblings and trills. I love how responsive he is. How cool IS THAT??
My friends… I think my tiny red canary bird is a happy one! Which just makes me happy, too.
